I’m Patrick (he/him).
It’s nice to meet you!
Hi, I’m Patrick (he/him), a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Therapist offering individual and couples counseling in Oregon and Florida.
At Bluett Counseling, I provide LGBTQ+ affirming, inclusive therapy with a focus on relationships, intimacy, identity, and mental health. I work with individuals navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, sexual difficulties, performance anxiety, and self-esteem, as well as couples working through communication issues, infidelity, or changes in desire.
Drawing on evidence-based approaches like CBT, EFT, mindfulness, and IFS, I strive to create a supportive, compassionate space where you can feel safe to share your story. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore challenges, uncover patterns, and strengthen connections—with yourself and others.
Whether you are seeking tools to manage stress, heal from past experiences, or cultivate a deeper sense of intimacy and connection, my goal is to help you move toward lasting growth, resilience, and fulfillment.

My Credentials
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon and I hold an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am also a Certified Sex Therapist with The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
-

My Identity
I am an Asian American cis male and a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

My Approach
My theoretical foundation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
I draw heavily from attachment theory, mindfulness practices and parts work from approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS). I would describe my style as insight-oriented and I tend to lean towards a more directive approach over a passive one.
Clients often describe me as having a warm, engaged and calming presence.

On A Personal Note…
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me training for the next half-marathon, going to local shows or backpacking with friends.
